Whether it was during high school, EPCC, or UTEP, I’ve somehow always ended up studying at this place. Unfortunately, every time I come here, I leave disappointed by the customer service. In fact, that’s the main reason I stopped coming altogether. After about three years, I decided to come back today, July 14, 2026, hoping maybe the atmosphere and service had changed. However, the experience have always left me feeling unappreciated and honestly a little sad, because I genuinely enjoy their food and coffee. What makes it more disappointing is that I want to support this place, but poor customer service makes that difficult. I’m the type of person who returns to businesses that feel welcoming, and unfortunately, this has never felt like one of them. Food: Great Coffee: Amazing Customer Service - Rotten Tomatoes EX. Happy hour is posted. Clearly States Any bagel, salad, wrap, sandwich.. + Chips/side salad + free shaken ice tea. I had just finished paying and asked for the chips & she stated I had to mention it at the time of purchase, THANKS. Service is pretty standard, the ambiance is great. Unfortunately the food is pretty mid, I’ve had various sandwiches and desserts before and it’s never really been great. Churro cheesecake is very dry and the chocolate cake lacks flavor. Other than that this place is pretty solid.

Entered the coffee house and was greeted by the friendly cashier at the front. She took my order and suggested options on the menu. I was craving dessert so I ordered a crepe with ice cream and toppings. I decided to order take out so my order was prepared and kept in a foam takeaway container. A different employee came to hand me my item, he made no eye contact and slammed the container on the table I was waiting at before rushing away without saying a word. The ambience of the coffeehouse is nice, clearly catering towards a younger, college age crowd. It wasn't very busy the day I went in, so I didn't understand why the employees seemed so rushed when some were chilling behind the counter on their phones. When I looked inside my takeway container before I left, I found the toppings were spread everywhere in the corners, and not sitting on the crepe at all. The ice cream was kept in a separate container. I tasted the crepe and it tasted very cheap, felt like I was eating plastic. Overall, the ambience was nice, some of the employees were great and some weren't. The food was crap though.

Nice place to take a break between classes and do homework. The BLT and Joe's green chile sandwich are really good.

I've tried many coffee shops and Kinley's is definitely in my top ones. The coffee is delicious and the price for the size is great. The only thing I wish they had that they don't have is more variety in their diet sugar. For instance, as of now they don't have Tuvia packets and other coffee shops do. I recommend this place. ☕
